The Mods

The mods in their credit, were absessed by three of four most important thing known to man-music,clothes and women (what happened to football, fellas?) Early Mods (early to mid '60s') embraced ska,the kinks,The Who, and the small faces, drove vespa or Lambrettas and dressed up in italian suitting with narrow labels and a skinny. Silhouette-much like those favoured by Dior today:Turtlenecks were also worn under suiting and teamed with winklepickers or occasionally,Italian fasselled loafers. The scooter boys adopted the army park for warmth, and often wore checked strides, foe no excusable reason. The mods are forever associated with the Rockers, partly because those were two strong fashions let the time, and partly because the two tribes had an almighty tear-up throughout Brighton, reproduced in the film Quadrophenia. Of the two, the mods were style winners, even if the Rockers did have the better bikes.
